Data protection

As of December 1, 2024

NOTO GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously.
For this reason, we have implemented measures to ensure that data protection regulations are observed both by us and by our external service providers and partners. As we continue to develop our online offerings and the technologies we use, changes to this privacy policy may also become necessary.

Therefore, we recommend that you review the privacy policy from time to time. The following statement provides an overview of how NOTO GmbH ensures the protection of your data and what types of data are collected for which purposes.

 Personal Information

At certain points within our online offerings, you may be asked to provide personal information. The personal data you submit will be stored and used exclusively for the purpose for which it was provided. No data will be shared with third parties.

Additionally, at these points, you will be explicitly asked to consent to the storage and sharing of your data. Automatically stored log data will be deleted after a limited period.

 Data Processing

Whenever you visit a website, certain data is legally required to be collected and exchanged. NOTO GmbH automatically collects and stores data transmitted by your browser to our server. This includes:

  • The type and version of your internet browser
  • The operating system in use
  • The page accessed
  • The previously visited page (referrer URL)
  • The IP address and the requesting provider
  • The date and time of the server request

NOTO GmbH evaluates this data solely for statistical purposes to measure the demand for its web services. NOTO GmbH has no means to associate this data with specific individuals. There is no merging of this data with other data sources. IP addresses are recorded only for the duration of the visit to respond to requests and are not stored beyond the end of the visit.

Data logged during access to the online offerings is transmitted to third parties only if we are legally obligated to do so by law or court order, or if such disclosure is necessary in the case of attacks on NOTO GmbH's internet infrastructure for legal or criminal prosecution purposes. Data will not be disclosed in other instances.

As some of our products depend on partner companies or when we act as intermediaries, it may be necessary to share some of your data with third parties. This is the case, for example, when registering a domain or issuing an SSL certificate.

 Data Security

We use the widely adopted SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol during your website visit, in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. You can recognize whether a specific page on our website is being transmitted securely by the closed key or lock icon displayed in your browser.

Furthermore, we employ appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously enhanced in line with technological advancements.
